Inasearch.space

Inasearch.space is considered a browser hijacker by researchers working at pcthreat.com. It is because it tends to appear on users’ web browsers without their knowledge. Specialists say that it should be able to change settings of all popular browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. Even though browser hijackers apply changes to web browsers without the users’ knowledge, it does not take long for them to find about the entrance of the Inasearch.space browser hijacker because Inasearch.space is set as a new search engine and, because of this, all web searches go through it when the search query is entered. This browser hijacker is not considered serious malware, but you must still get rid of it as soon as possible if you do not like the search tool set or simply want to set another search engine you like. Its removal should not be something very complicated. It should be possible to undo the changes applied by simply resetting the affected web browser to default settings. There is a quicker way to do that too – you can use an antimalware scanner instead. It does not really matter which one of two removal methods you adopt because the most important thing is to make Inasearch.space gone.

Unfortunately, Inasearch.space is not a reputable search provider even though it does not differ much from other search tools and returns search results. It has been observed by our researchers who have tested it that this search provider redirects all searches to https://inasearch.space/srch/?keyword= first before providing users with Google search results. At the time of writing, search results returned by this search tool were not modified, but there are no guarantees that you will not see any modified search results in the future if you continue using it to perform web searches, so, in our opinion, it would be best that you delete Inasearch.space and then set a new trustworthy search provider in its place. Get rid of it mercilessly also if you do not want it to record any information about you because the chances are high that it records certain details automatically. It will not stop doing this itself, we can assure you, so get rid of it mercilessly to put an end to this activity it performs.

Browser hijackers are not harmful threats, so they do not log keystrokes, do not record any passwords, and cannot access other details that belong to the sensitive information category. They usually record only those details that cannot identify users personally. For example, Inasearch.space might be interested in links you click, content you access, websites you visit, and some technical details about your machine. These are details that cannot identify users personally, but if we were you, we would still not let it collect those details because it is unclear what they will be used for. On top of that, they might be disclosed to third parties that might use them for various purposes too. It will no longer perform this activity on your computer only if you stop using Inasearch.space and remove it from your browsers.

It is not likely at all that you have set Inasearch.space consciously as your new default search provider. Specialists say that this search tool tends to replace users’ default search engines automatically after users install some kind of potentially unwanted browser extension. Also, it might travel bundled together with other programs and change browsers’ settings the second these programs are installed on the system by the user. At the time of research, this browser hijacker was not popular at all, but this might soon change, so if you have not encountered it yet, it does not mean that it cannot infiltrate your computer and change your browsers’ settings in the future. Therefore, you should install a security application on your PC as soon as possible. As long as it stays installed, undesirable software could not enter your system.

The first thing you should do after discovering Inasearch.space set as your new default search tool is resetting the web browser you use to its default settings. This should be enough to undo the changes applied by the browser hijacker. If you do not think that you could remove Inasearch.space yourself, or you do not have time for its manual removal, you can scan your system with a reputable antimalware scanner instead. It will only need a few minutes to clean your system.
