nJoySport Search

If you find nJoySport Search in your Google Chrome browser, it is quite possible that you have installed a freeware bundle recently. This potentially unwanted program, or PUP, can sneak onto your computer even without your realizing it. In all fairness, we need to mention that it is also possible to install it officially. However, we believe that more users let this potential threat enter their computer under questionable circumstances. This PUP can change your default search provider, your homepage, and new tab settings as well. Fortunately, it only affects your Google Chrome browser, but it might spy on you and gather information that can be sold to questionable third parties as well or used otherwise to target you with customized content. All in all, if you keep this browser extension in your browser, you may risk further infection or even exposure to online scams. This is why we recommend that you remove nJoySport Search from your PC as soon as you can.

We have found only one official source for installing this tool, which is the Chrome web store at chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/njoysport-search/nihafbdimboblakiepalngcngeampfda. Although this page does link to a promotional page, njoyapps.com, where you are supposed to find this extension to download, but you will only find ten other similar or identical PUPs there, including nJoyGames Search Plus and nJoyMusic Now. This is a very simple webpage, similar to those promoting very similar PUPs (e.g., medianetnow.com).

We also need to mention here that while installing this PUP, you get redirected to a deceptive page like "private.playzonenow.com/wim/lp/offer/special.php?t=tvnoop&ref=unknown&ct=ye61strtrfnrml.118." This page tries to fool you and trick you into believing that your installation progress is only 60% and you need to install yet another questionable tool to finish it. This is a rather aggressive way to promote an application and should be treated accordingly. As we have mentioned before, we think that this tool is mostly spread in questionable ways so it is quite likely that you have never visited these pages at all, yet you have this PUP on board.

The bad news is that you can easily install this PUP even without realizing it. This can happen, for instance, when you click on a questionable third-party pop-up on a suspicious website, but it can also be presented to you by an adware program hiding on your PC. This pop-up may claim all kinds of things but most likely it will try to push you to install a browser extension or a software update. If you are not an experienced user, you may easily believe that this is an authentic message and you need to go along with it. What is even worse, you could also infect your computer with a freeware bundle containing this useless PUP similarly if you click on unreliable third-party ads. Since a bundle can contain a bunch of malware infections and PUPs as well, we suggest that you run a reliable online malware scanner right after you delete nJoySport Search from your computer.

This new tool presents to you a pop-up window, which you can display by clicking on the TV button on your browser taskbar next to the menu button. This pop-up gives you a search tool and a number of recommended videos to watch. Both will take you to tvnoop.com, which is a questionable site with alleged streaming videos; however, it is quite possible that you will not be able to do so even if you register. This PUP also sets sport.eanswers.com as your default search provider, which means that you could be exposed to modified Yahoo search results that could lead to further malware infections or online scams. If you would like to keep your PC safe, we suggest that you remove nJoySport Search right away.

If you want to take action now, please follow our step-by-step guide below. Please note that this may not restore full level of security on your PC. It is more likely that you will find other threats on your system that need your immediate attention. If you do not think that you can manually detect and eliminate all threats, we suggest that you download and install a trustworthy anti-malware program like SpyHunter. Employing such security software can make a great change for you in your virtual experience. Instead of becoming paranoid by fearing all kinds of potential and malicious threats, you could enjoy fearless browsing. It is definitely worth a try.
