7zipper Ransomware

It is unlikely that 7zipper Ransomware is a threat that will corrupt many operating systems, if any. This threat does not seem to spread vigorously, and it is possible that some of its features no longer work, which might make it completely dysfunctional. Of course, if you have faced this malicious threat, there is no time to waste. This ransomware was created to encrypt personal files and demand a ransom fee in return of a decryptor or decryption key. So, were your files encrypted by this malicious infection? You can find that out by checking your personal files. If your files appear to be untouched, you do not need to pay any attention to the ransom demands. However, if your personal files are locked in a 7zip archive with the “.7zipper” extension attached to it, you are in trouble. Although there is very little information about this malicious infection, we will try our best to help you remove 7zipper Ransomware from your operating system. If your files were encrypted, it is unlikely that you can recover them, but we have a few tips for you regarding that as well.

It appears that 7zipper Ransomware is targeted at those users who speak Portuguese because after encrypting your personal files it creates its own file called “Saiba como recuperar seus arquivos.txt”. This message includes a “chave” (Eng. key) that allegedly is meant to help identify you. Additionally, an email address – zipper@email.tg – is attached, and you are expected to communicate with the creator of the ransomware via it. According to the ransom note, you need to email your identification code to the address to get your files back. If you do, you might receive instructions asking to pay a ransom; however, it is possible that you will not receive any response at all. Our research team has found that the domain hosting the email address has expired already, which means that communication via this email is not possible. Therefore, even if 7zipper Ransomware is still capable of encrypting data – which is unlikely – you will not be able to contact its creator and figure out what to do next. Unfortunately, most ransomware infections use very strong encryption algorithms, and they are usually impossible to crack.

When 7zipper Ransomware hijacks your personal files by locking them in a 7zip archive, it encodes the password. According to our malware analysts, it is possible that the password could be cracked, and so you should definitely look into third-party password decoders. Hopefully, you will be able to get your files back this way. If that is not possible, you should consider this a good lesson. More and more ransomware infections are emerging, and the latest examples include RansomPlus Ransomware, Netflix Ransomware, and LataRebo Locker Ransomware. Unless you install strong security software, any of these dangerous infections could slither in without your notice. Of course, you should not rely on security software 100%. If you skip one security update, a malicious threat could find its way in. Therefore, we strongly recommend taking the security of your personal files a step further by backing them up. Whether you use online storage or external drives, you have to make sure that your most valued files are backed up.

Do you know how to delete 7zipper Ransomware from your operating system? Although this threat might be very easy to find and eliminate, we strongly advise installing anti-malware software. As mentioned already, reliable and strong security software is irreplaceable when it comes to guarding your operating system against malware. Anti-malware software can also automatically remove 7zipper Ransomware, which, of course, is a huge help. If you believe you can get rid of this malicious infection manually, do not forget that other threats might be active and that your operating system is extremely vulnerable. If you do not eliminate all infections and if you do not reinforce your system’s protection, it is possible that you will find yourself dealing with malware again. Therefore, even if you proceed manually, think about installing reliable security software. If you want to discuss anything else, post a comment below.
