Spyware Protection 2009 (also known as SpywareProtection2009 and Spy Protection 2009) is a fake spyware removal tool that is usually downloaded onto a computer via a Trojan (most likely the Zlob Trojan) or under other such dubious circumstances. Spyware Protection 2009 may also create entries in the infected system’s Windows Registry that will attempt to convince the user that their computer is infected with spyware. Whereas in actuality Spyware Protection 2009 is the spyware! The sole purpose of these dubious tactics is to get the user to purchase the full version of Spyware Protection 2009 spyware removal application. Even though Spyware Protection 2009 program may seem legit with its uninstall option available on 'Add or Remove' Programs list, its files will still reappear after a reboot. It will then continue to launch Spyware Protection 2009 and the "System scan" messages will continue to pop up on the task manager.
