Trojan.Zbot

Trojan.Zbot is a form of a Trojan horse that tends to lower security settings and drop files onto the compromised computer. Trojan.Zbot is designed to open up large security exploits through which hundreds of malicious adware and spyware will be abel to infiltrate a system. In addition, Trojan.Zbot opens a backdoor that allows the remote attacker to get full control over the infected computer.

Trojan.Zbot is a spy Trojan that is monitoring your computer and can collect sensitive data to send it away to a remote server. This Trojan enters your computer unexpectedly and installs various spy programs or keyloggers that record your key strokes and store the collected data somewhere in the depths of your computer until it is finally time to transfer it away.

Initially Trojan.Zbot has been designed to steal your banking information such as logins and passwords, but it can also open a backdoor allowing other malware programs to enter your system. Trojan.Zbot is a cunning parasite, because it does not have a definite interface and thus you must either regularly perform a full system scan or check the Task Manager for process files related to Trojan.Zbot. Such files are, for example, antvrs.exe, mkQhVjQy.exe, msrcek32.exe and many more. The list can be found below this description and if any of the process files in the list happen to be running in the Task Manager then you are definitely infected with Trojan.Zbot.

When the Trojan is installed, it opens a connection to remove server and downloads a configuration file which has an address to which Trojan.Zbot needs to send the collected data. Once the Trojan is up and running, whenever you open a banking site and enter your data in order to access your account, Trojan.Zbot copies the information and transfers it to the remote server. Thus when the hackers catch a hold of your information, they can easily access your bank account and steal your money.

What is more, Trojan.Zbot can also forcefully redirect you to a fake website that looks exactly like, for example, your banking website. Thus an unsuspecting user is fooled and whatever data he or she enters in this fake website, it is captured by Trojan.Zbot and then exploited by hackers who have created the parasite. Therefore, it is obvious that this Trojan is a very dangerous pest and you must remove Trojan.Zbot from your system immediately.

If you are not sure how to terminate Trojan.Zbot manually, get yourself a legitimate computer security application that will delete the Trojan for you automatically and you will not have to worry about the infection anymore.
