Personal Defender 2009

Personal Defender 2009 is a malware application which disguises itself as a security tool. This is not a new way to decieve computer users and gain a purchase, however Personal Defender 2009 makes uses of additional misleading tactics as well. PersonalDefender2009 is not able to infect computers on its own; instead, it coerces people into downloading the program voluntarily. PersonalDefender 2009 tends to be delivered onto a system via the Trojan mupd1_2_1711951.exe. This Trojan mimics Windows firewall notifications and asks if the user would like to enable protection. Once the user has clickedion teh button: “Enable Protection”, this will actually ensure the Trojan is installed, along with Personal Defender 2009. Once Personal Defender 2009 infiltrates a computer, it begins offering the user the paid version of the software. Personal Defender 2009 might appear to be legitimate anti-spyware, but it is in fact absolutely nonfunctional. PersonalDefender 2009 tends to imitate system scans and will report large numbers of infections found on the system. One shoudl bear in m,ind that every message generated by PersonalDefender2009 can be ignored as they are all completely falsified. Not only is Personal Defender 2009 completely useless as antispyware, but it is also rather malicious. Personal Defender 2009 will slow down a system’s performance and tends to limit internet connection. Personal Defender 2009 displays many pop-up messages that make using a computer an impossible task. PersonalDefender 2009 is also capable of hijacking web browsers and redirecting it to personaldefender2009.com.
