Alex.vlasov@aol.com Ransomware

Alex.vlasov@aol.com Ransomware is an infection that got its name because of the email address attached to the image that replaces the regular Desktop wallpaper upon invasion. Although this infection does not lock the screen, it uses a strange image to inform you that you need to contact the provided email to restore information. Additionally, a text file called "How to decrypt your files.txt" is created as well, and it confirms that you need to contact one of the provided emails (alex.vlasov@aol.com or alex.vlasov@india.com) to initiate the decryption of data. Many users rush to contact cyber criminals because they want to recover their photos, videos, documents, and other sensitive files that are encrypted using the RSA-2048 encryption key. The encryption process is silent, and users recognize the damage only after it is done. Unfortunately, unlocking files without the decryption key is impossible. Can you pinpoint the moment when Alex.vlasov@aol.com Ransomware entered your operating system? Some users are likely to execute this threat themselves by opening corrupted spam email attachments, but it could also be spread by malicious Trojans, or its installer could hide in a malicious software bundle. There are many different security backdoors that cyber criminals could use to infiltrate this ransomware. Once in, it immediately performs the encryption of your files, and our researchers have found that it can also encrypt the files of programs you have installed, such as web browsers. Hopefully, you will be able to run your PC and use your browsers without any disruption. The files affected by the ransomware gain an extension, “.id-[ID number].{alex.vlasov@aol.com}.xtbl”, that includes your unique ID number. You will need to attach this ID to an email if you decide to communicate with cyber criminals. If you follow the instructions to email them, you will receive further instructions ordering to pay a ransom.

Our malware analysts do not recommend paying the ransom requested by the malicious Alex.vlasov@aol.com Ransomware for one simple reason, which is that you might be scammed. It is possible that you will be left with your files locked after paying the ransom, and you should not put your savings at risk. Although we do not claim that the payment will not help with the decryption of files, we have analyzed enough ransomware infections, including Cerber2 Ransomware and CrypMIC Ransomware, to know that cyber criminals do not always keep their word. If you choose to pay the ransom, do so at your own risk knowing that you might give up your money for nothing in return. Unfortunately, the victims of this malicious infection usually see no other option but to give in and follow the demands. The victims of Ecovector3@aol.com Ransomware, Vegclass@aol.com Ransomware, and other threats from the same family usually feel trapped as well. It is possible that these infections were created by the same malware creators.

You should evaluate the files encrypted by Alex.vlasov@aol.com Ransomware before you do anything else. Are these files worth the fee asked for them? Do you have the most sensitive files backed up? If you do, we recommend deleting the ransomware without any hesitation. Once you get rid of this infection, you can replace the corrupted copies with the normal ones. Unfortunately, at this moment, there is no other way to restore files without getting involved with cyber criminals. You can look into using third-party decryption tools, but do not get scammed into downloading malware camouflaged as reliable software.
