AntiSpy2008, otherwise known as AntiSpy 2008 is an imposter application, which is believed to have been created by Russian hackers. These type renegade programs tend to be extremely similar in processes and operations, and of course AntiSpy2008 is no exception. AntiSpy2008 is believed to be associated with the family of malware consisting of: AntiSpyZone. Once AntiSpy2008 has embedded itself within a computer’s system, the application will generate and display phony security warnings, all claiming the computer to be infected with malware. These notifications are of course fictitious and should not be taken seriously. AntiSpy2008 infiltrates a system without the consent or knowledge of the user, and does so via browser exploits or Windows security holes. As with all such malware applications, AntiSpy2008 attempts to coerce the user into purchasing the full version of AntiSpy2008. One should also bear in mind that AntiSpy2008 is capable of emulating and updating itself, therefore it is extremely difficult to remove AntiSpy2008 manually.
