MoshouInput

MoshouInput is a Chinese application that enables you to add Pinyin input method on your computer; however, we have found that this tool may also be a source of certain virtual security risks. It is also possible that this software installs itself without your permission. All in all, we have categorized it as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) because we cannot claim that it is downright malicious. But it is still important to understand the potential risks this PUP may hold for you if you keep it on board. Since it is also likely that this questionable application comes with malware infections onto your computer, it may not be enough to remove MoshouInput alone. If you would like to find out more about this PUP and how you can protect your system from similar threats, please carry on reading our article.

There are two main ways for you to download this PUP. First, you can visit the official website at moshoushurufa.com. Since this is a Chinese website, there is little chance that you would actually download it from there unless you can read and speak Chinese. Although, you can definitely click on the download button even if you do not know any Chinese and end up with the installer. But you would be very careless to do so in fact. If you want to protect your computer, you should never download applications without running a web search on them first, let alone a program that is promoted on a page and in a language that you may not even understand. But it is quite unlikely that you would have MoshouInput from this source actually.

We have found that this PUP can also be found in various Chinese freeware bundles. This option is obviously worse since it means that you download a whole bunch of unwanted programs and malware infections as well. This way you can let, for example, adware programs, browser hijackers as well as Trojans onto your computer. Imagine the chaos these threats could cause on your system in a short time. You need to know that such bundles are mostly available on suspicious file-sharing and gaming websites. The main reason is that these pages are filled with harmful third-party ads. Clicking on such ads could easily drop an infected software package onto your system. Landing on unfamiliar, malicious websites, and ones in language you do not understand can result in infecting your computer with such threats. Therefore, you should make sure that you always use authentic sites for downloading software and other files (music, videos, and movies). In order to make sure that your computer is clean, you should delete MoshouInput and scan your system for other possible infections.

This PUP is rather annoying because of its third-party ads. So, apart from bringing other threats onto your system, it may also introduce you to potentially harmful advertisements. These may pop up as banners in the lower-right corner; however, there is an even more annoying one that comes up in the middle of the screen. You cannot even stop the flow of these ads unless you kill the process that runs this operation; this is rather intrusive behavior. These can be third-party ads and website promotions as well. Since cyber criminals like to take advantage of such programs as MoshouInput, they can easily take over and inject their corrupt ads. Engaging with such content however can end badly for you since you may be redirected to malicious websites. If you do not want to infect your computer with more malware programs or lose money in an online scam, you should not think twice before you remove MoshouInput from your PC.

As a matter of fact, when you want to uninstall MoshouInput, you run into the same issue with the language as in the case of the official website. Of course, it is not an issue if you speak Chinese. However, for all the rest of the world it can be a bit of a headache to uninstall it with Chinese instructions. In any case, we have included our guide for the Control Panel type of elimination. But to make sure that you can actually get rid of this PUP, we have also prepared manual instructions for you as a second option. Please follow our guide if you want to sort this infection out with your own hands. However, if you do not want to get your hands “dirty,” we can also offer an automated method. For the best possible protection from malware, you should install a reputable anti-malware program. If you keep this tool always updated, you can have full-time protection against all known threats.
