WebBars

WebBars is classified as a potentially unwanted program. Although it might promise you great services, our researchers have found that this program can act in an unpredictable manner, and it could pose a threat to your virtual security. This application is often considered a security threat because it is capable of injecting advertisements. Furthermore, it is possible that it will modify your search tools, which is why some users also recognize it as a browser hijacker. We classify it as a PUP because it presents desirable services to attract users, and some of its services appear to be hidden from them. Needless to say, this is not how reliable software should act. If you are still not sure whether or not you should remove WebBars from your operating system, you can read this report to learn more about this potentially unwanted program. If you care about nothing else but the removal process, scroll down below to find the instructions.

The suspicious WebBars is officially introduced to users via webbars.ru. This website promotes the PUP as the best tool that supports VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and YouTube platforms. Needless to say, the first two – which are social networking platforms – are directly targeted at users in Russia. This is not surprising, considering that the PUP was designed specifically to serve those living in Russia. The program should help you create track playlists and then share them to your social media profiles, and it should help you do that directly from your browsers (Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer). The extension is represented via a bar at the bottom of the browser, and it also includes links to Facebook, Twitter, and several other popular websites, as well as a search box representing Yandex.ru. According to the legal information supporting this program, the homepage and search engine settings could be modified, and yandex.ru could replace your regular search tools. Needless to say, if you do not familiarize yourself with this legal information, you might think that your browsers have been hijacked. This is one of those things that WebBars attempts to hide from users.

The legal information we have analyzed has also revealed that WebBars can inject advertisements. Due to this, it is fair to classify this app as an advertising-supported program as well. It is most likely that the ads injected by this app will show up as banners on the pages you visit, and they are most likely to promote third-party products. Do you encounter surveys and software installers? You need to be extremely cautious about those because you do not want to disclose private information or download more suspicious programs. In fact, you need to handle all ads injected by WebBars with caution. If you want to get rid of them altogether, you need to remove the potentially unwanted program. Have you decided that you want to erase it from your operating system? Although it does not hijack browsers, inject ads, or collect data without any warning, this kind of activity is quite worrisome. If you do not want to have your browsers modified, and you do not want to face ads every time you browse the web, we have a few tips that will help you out.

Uninstalling WebBars is one of the methods you can employ to erase the undesirable program. This method is suitable for those who are dealing with the PUP on the Internet Explorer browser. If you have it installed on your Firefox browser, you will have to erase an extension. The removal method represented below might seem lengthy, complicated, and scary, but it can ensure a through removal of the undesirable software. Of course, employing a legitimate malware scanner afterward is crucial to make sure that no leftovers remain active. If other infections are active, you should not waste your time.
