Danger level 7
Type: Browser Hijackers
Common infection symptoms:
  • Hijacks homepage
  • Changes default search engine is a quite questionable and potentially harmful search engine that can appear in your browser as you new home page and default search engine when a browser hijacker sneaks onto your computer. This hijacker only seems to affect Internet Explorer; however, since it mainly spreads on the web in freeware bundles, chances are these are packed with other malware infections that may not be limited to this browser. This search page may present to you potentially harmful web content, including third-party ads. The other threats that may crawl onto your system with this hijacker may also expose you to unreliable advertisements. Therefore, we advise you to remove and every other possibly harmful application as well. This is the only way for you to secure your privacy and safety in your virtual world. Please read our full article on this infection to learn how you can protect your computer from similar attacks.

This browser hijacker cannot be downloaded as a standalone installer from any promotional website. In fact, we have found that this infection is mainly spreading through malicious freeware bundles. These software packages may contain several malware installers. Understanding how you can infect your computer with such a bundle can help you prevent this from happening in the future. The most common places to bump into such infectious bundles are shady file-sharing websites, including pornographic, dating, torrent, and freeware sites. These pages can display several unsafe third-party advertisements (banners, in-text, and pop-ups), which are quite often rather deceiving or downright disguised to appear to be something else. It is possible that you think that you are clicking on a download or a next-page button, for instance. But, instead, you download a nasty bundle full of surprises.

It is also important for us to mention that even if you end up with such a bundle on your computer, you may still have a chance to opt out of installing the full content, i.e., not to allow several threats onto your system in one go. These installers usually offer you checkboxes to untick if you do not want certain changes in your browsers or components to be installed. It is possible that these checkboxes are only revealed if you choose that custom option. In a few cases you will only be informed about the true content of the bundle if you read the license agreement carefully, which you have to accept to be able to install your target application. So you should be very careful when you install any bundle for that matter if you do not want to have potentially harmful programs on your PC. If you are unsure how this browser hijacker has infiltrated your computer, we advise you to check your system for malware infections after removing

This is a rather annoying and suspicious search page to be frank. There are potentially unreliable third-party ads on its main page, but the whole page looks rather chaotic, too. Further down this search site there are two search boxes that you can use for searching the web, but we advise you against trying to use them. Your queries will be redirected to a custom Google search results page that may be modified by this hijacker to include affiliated third-party ads and sponsored links. Clicking on these may easily lead you to fake or malicious websites run by cyber criminals. Therefore, we do not recommend that you engage with this page and its content or any other content provided indirectly. In other words, we advise you to remove immediately, if you do not want to cripple your system with more malware infections or worse, lose your identity or your banking details to criminals.

Since this browser hijacker only attacks Internet Explorer, all you need to do is reset this browser and all this nightmare should be over. We have included two options for you. If you simply want to reset your browser, please follow our instructions below. If you are more experienced and want to go deeper into your system and the Windows Registry and clean the mess this infection has created, you can use our manual removal. Keep in mind that this is a risky territory because making a mistake in the registry might result in irrevocable damage to your operating system. If you want to make sure that your computer is all safe and sound, and it also stays that way, we recommend that you install a powerful up-to-date anti-malware application. That is what we call real peace of mind.
