OneDayWeather

OneDayWeather is a program that is targeted at those living in Korea. This region-specific program is also represented in Korean, so it is truly unlikely that it would be found on computers located in other regions. Were you surprised to discover this strange application on your PC? We have not found this program to be installed without permission; however, if you are sure that this is what has happened, you need to delete this program as soon as you can. All in all, an official download page for this program does not exist, which means that it might have been installed onto your computer in a strange way. According to our research, this program is usually introduced to users via third-party installers, and it is possible that some might install it by accident, in which case, the entrance of this program might raise questions. Well, whether or not you have agreed to install this program, you need to remove OneDayWeather.

According to our researchers, OneDayWeather – published by Plan11 and Jncmarketing Co., Ltd. –works on Internet Explorer, where an extension is created. In order to ensure that this program is activated as soon as you turn on your computer, autorun entries are created in the Windows Registry as well. The files of this suspicious program are located in the OneDayWeather folder in the %APPDATA% directory. It is important to know where exactly this strange program hides in case you decide to delete it one element at a time. Well, why would you want to delete this seemingly beneficial tool that supposedly can provide you with accurate weather reports? We classify it as an advertising-supported program rather than a useful program because, as soon as you install it, it starts showcasing third-party ads. Believe it or not, this is the main reason to remove this program from your PC.

It was found that OneDayWeather displays advertisements via separate Internet Explorer windows, which, in itself, is quite strange. We are all used to seeing ads on the pages we visit or at the beginning of the videos we want to watch; however, encountering pop-ups that open in new windows is not very common. In fact, this kind of aggressive, intrusive advertising is usually associated with unreliable and malicious advertisers. The banner ads displayed by this suspicious adware are clickable and, naturally, redirect to Korean websites. It is most likely that the links hidden in these ads will route to shopping websites; however, we cannot guarantee that you will not be redirected to less reliable, possibly malicious sites. Because of the possibility of landing on unreliable websites, we strongly recommend paying close attention to the ads you interact with. If you want to avoid interaction with potentially misleading offers, you should ignore them altogether.

Have you installed OneDayWeather along with other programs? If you have, it is important that you inspect them carefully. If you do not do this, you might miss unreliable software. We are not stating that the publisher of this adware will bundle it together with malicious infections; however, the third-party installers that distribute it could attach malicious programs. It all depends on the installer, and we know that there are plenty of unreliable installers handled by cyber criminals. Not all users will be able to identify every single program installed along with this adware, which is why we recommend employing a malware scanner. Use this tool to learn exactly which threats have invaded your operating system.

You have to be very careful when uninstalling OneDayWeather from your operating system. Click the right buttons and refuse any additional programs.
