  4. Paul Jun 9, 2008

Let me join the fun. We got this from an ActiveX codec over the weekend. I have not yet tried to delete the files/registry entries list above, but will attempt that tonight. Based on the comments posted some of them might not be there, so if there are any other fixes out there, please let me know. Any assistance is appreciated, email bequettep@hotmail.com.

  5. Chris Jun 17, 2008

None of my spyware software managed to find this thing, and the more you try to get into the registry editor it starts running the processes so that REGEDIT can't get exclusive access to the file. Even with my firewall in lock down mode and all the known .exe's blocked it still finds a way to run. I also heard it has been known to hide in "protected" sectors, surely though, a good full reformat should get rid of it.

  6. Lia Jun 18, 2008

    yes, like the above comment.......
same thing happenned to me T_______T
is there no way to remove it fully without reformatting?
    ><
i'll wait for someone nice for telling the way.. please email me at yui_manato@yahoo.com
    thanks a lot

  7. Shawn Jun 19, 2008

My antivirus software got rid of everything except dadef.dlll - how do I get rid of that?

  8. Lewi Jun 29, 2008

I tried some of the recommended ANTI SPY programs, such as ROGUE REMOVER FREE, SPYBOT,UNI SPY ERASER, but without success. None of the above mentioned files or registry entires could be found on my PC. The message (Trojan infection, download ANTIVIR SOFTWARE) is still coming, as soon as I try to use the Internet Explorer or Firefox.

  9. XRay Jun 30, 2008

I removed the bastard manual. But at first the darn anouncements stayed after removal. This annoying thing you can get rid off by stopping all addins/plugins in your browsersettings that are not verified. I don't know exactly which one but it did the trick.

    Have fun,
    XRay
