AnimeUnzipped Toolbar

AnimeUnzipped Toolbar is meant to help you research cosplay costumes and provide information about upcoming conventions. The official download page, free.animeunzipped.com, reveals that this program is powered by Ask. Ask.com is a popular search provider that many computer users use on a daily basis. The problem is that the search provider associated with this toolbar is not ask.com, and this is a reason to remove AnimeUnzipped Toolbar from your operating system. You will learn more about this search tool by reading this report. If you are interested only in the removal, you have to scroll down below.

Mindspark Interactive Network has developed AnimeUnzipped Toolbar, as well as such infamous apps as GetFormsOnline Toolbar, DirectionsAce Toolbar, or FlightSearch Toolbar. These extensions have different themes, and the links associated with them are different; however, the basis of these programs is the same. All of them promote links to third-party websites, use tracking cookies to collect information, and introduce third-party software. As you already know, AnimeUnzipped Toolbar always comes bundled with Ask Search, but did you know that other programs could be involved as well? According to our research, malicious installers could promote this toolbar, in which case, you might have to remove third-party malware.

If you downloaded AnimeUnzipped Toolbar from a third-party source, you have to inspect your PC to see if you need to remove third-party programs installed along with it. Our research shows that all kinds of malicious programs could be installed onto your PC along with this suspicious toolbar, and their removal is important as well. All third-party programs aside, AnimeUnzipped Toolbar can be regarded as a threat as well. This toolbar shows links to third-party sites and uses HTTP cookies to spy on you. The worst part is that third-party cookies can be installed as well. If you do not delete these HTTP cookies, they will record information about you, and possibly leak it to third-parties that might be untrustworthy.

Ultimately, AnimeUnzipped Toolbar is an advertising tool. It advertises links to third-party sites, and, if you install Ask Search, it modifies the search results to show sponsored links. What is more, ads might be shown on the homepage of home.tb.ask.com (the homepage supposedly supported by Ask). We do not recommend clicking on any ads associated with AnimeUnzipped Toolbar or other unfamiliar, unpredictable programs. If you are careless, you might open up security backdoors and let in more malware. Now, if you stay away from ads, you minimize the risk of having to remove other malicious programs.

We have prepared a manual removal guide that will help you delete AnimeUnzipped Toolbar from Windows, as well as your browsers. Since we also recommend removing Ask Search, you will find steps showing you how to do that as well. If third-party malware has slithered in, do not hesitate to install an automated malware detection and removal tool to erase them from your operating system. Even if you remove AnimeUnzipped Toolbar and all other threats manually, you have to install a security tool if you want to make sure that unwanted software does not slither in again.
