BocaEdit

If you are being bombarded with various commercial advertisements while browsing the internet, chances are that you have been infected with BocaEdit. BocaEdit is an adware helper that is set to update and restore adware applications that are installed using InstallRex installers, so if you want to remove adware once and for all you must first delete BocaEdit.

BocaEdit is a potential security risk, because it supports numerous InstallRex based adware applications that might be on your computer. It must be noted that BocaEdit can support several adware applications on a single computer at once. If you have Unideals, UniSales, or YoutubeAdBlocker on your computer, chances are that you might also have BocaEdit as well. It supports these adware applications by keeping them up-to-date, which might make it difficult for antimalware scanners to detect them. Furthermore, BocaEdit has the ability to restore previously deleted adware applications that could severely compromise your system’s security.

In essence, adware is regarded as a dangerous infection, because all adware applications are exclusively developed to display various third-party advertisements. The advertisements usually come in the form of coupons, banners, pop-ups, in-text ads, and so on. Most often they feature various shopping websites, product comparisons, sponsored system utilities downloads, and so on. However, they might also feature misleading or fake content that might rob you of your money. In addition, advertisements might feature various bogus programs, Java and Adobe Flash Player updates that might infect your system with malware. Therefore, we recommend users to remove BocaEdit in order to save yourself the trouble of having to deal with hazardous malware that can’t be deleted manually.

Apart from that, BocaEdit supported adware applications have the ability to collect personally identifiable information about the user. The adware uses cookies to collect logins, but in can also collect data about your browsing and search history, search queries, IP addresses, and so on. This information is necessary for the developers to make changes to their marketing campaigns in order to display customized content to a specific user. Needless to say those cyber criminals may also utilize this functionality for their own illicit activities.

It is clear that in order to protect your system from fake advertisements and malicious applications, one should remove BocaEdit from his computer. However, removing BocaEdit manually will not delete additional adware that has been installed using InstallRex installers, thus one would also have to remove the adware manually. Therefore, we encourage users to use an automatic malware scanner such as SpyHunter to fully clean your computer. However, if you insist on removing BocaEdit manually, please follow our removal guide provided bellow.
