StormCloud

StormCloud is an application that users supposedly can download from the Windows Phone Store, the Ubuntu Store, or the Chrome Web Store. According to our researchers, the program officially promoted at getstormcloud.com is usually an issue for Google Chrome users who download the program without realizing how unreliable it is. Needless to say, if you find the app to be useless, you need to delete it without any hesitation. Do you need help removing StormCloud? If you do, you should read this report.

Most computer users are convinced that StormCloud is a beneficial application as soon as they learn that it can inform you about the weather conditions without the “droll drop-down menu affairs.” Of course, there is more to the program than you think; otherwise, we would not tell you to remove StormCloud from your operating system. The main reason you need to remove the program from your PC is the uselessness of it.

Our malware researchers identify StormCloud as a PUP, and this is an abbreviation for the term potentially unwanted program. Even though StormCloud is meant to show the weather forecast accordingly to the selected locations, it has been discovered that the application does not work. This would not be an issue, and we would not suggest removing the program if it was not offered for a price. When users install the program and find that it doesn’t work, they often choose the “Go Pro” version. The full price of StormCloud Pro is $1.99; however, you should not waste your money, because the version does not work either.

Another suspicious thing, that you need to take into consideration, is that StormCloud could be installed on your PC bundled with malware. Even though we do not identify StormCloud as a malicious app, it could come packaged with truly malicious software. Make sure you do not let in malware, because it is much more difficult to remove it than to keep it away. If you cannot protect your operating system yourself, you need to install an automatic malware removal tool that will delete existing infections and will shield your operating system from those trying to slither in.

If you use the automatic malware removal software to delete StormCloud, you will not need to worry about the removal of other threats. However, if you choose the manual removal (see instructions below), you will have to find and remove the remaining threats yourself.
