LionShopper

LionShopper is an adware application that collects information on what you search for online. Based on your most recent search data, LionShopper generates customized advertisements when you visit Amazon, eBay, BestBuy and other online shopping websites. These advertisements should help you purchase your favorite goods at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, one cannot trust LionShopper because this application displays third-party content. If you care about your computer and your data security, you will remove LionShopper from the system immediately. While you are at it, scan your computer for other potential threats as well.

There is nothing new about LionShopper. This application is identical to Supreme Adblocker, TicTacCoupon, SharkManCoupon and a number of other applications based on the JustPlugIt engine. Usually, these adware apps say that they can help you locate all the best coupons and discount offers on the web. LionShopper, on the other hand, promises you to block annoying pop-ups that do not allow you to browse the Internet properly. It is exactly what the application claims on the main homepage at lionshopper.info:

If you are an avid shopper online, you know very well how coupons can help you save money. However, for a busy shopper such as yourself, it is very time-consuming to check out coupons from various sites. The good news is, there is a tool to help you deal with this. Download LionShopper today.

It sure sounds like a plan, but it is too bad that it is not fail proof. LionShopper does not function properly, and you cannot download it at the main homepage. Just like all the other semi-random name adware application, LionShopper gets around bundled with freeware. It usually gets distributed via Installrex installer, but sometimes (depending on your location) it may also come via Vittalia or Amonetize installers. What is more, LionShopper never comes alone. Thus, if you have this adware application on your computer, chances are that there are a lot more unwanted programs installed on the system as well.

In order to find out how many unwanted programs you have on your computer, you should scan it with SpyHunter free scanner. This tool will determine the current state of your system in no time, and you will be able to terminate all the unwanted applications at once.

As far as LionShopper is concerned, this extension will NOT block pop-ups ads. It will display quite a few itself. The adware application will also collect information on your web browsing habits, and if it gets exploited by a malevolent third party, this information could be leaked for online marketing purposes. There are more security issues associated with LionShopper, and you definitely should avoid them.

Remove LionShopper manually and then invest in a powerful antispyware application to protect your PC from harm. For any further questions, you can leave us a comment.
