TestSpeeder

TestSpeeder is a disturbing application which we list as adware because it appears that displaying random third-party ads is one of its main features. Even though the application is promoted as a tool to test your Internet speed, our malware researchers believe that this is a diversion to hide the true purpose of the unreliable application. The report reveals why the application was created and shows how to remove TestSpeeder from the Windows operating system.

The official name of TestSpeeder is SpeedChecker, and this is considered to be extremely suspicious. You certainly cannot trust an application that may change its own name because this is a trick schemers often use to create difficulties with the removal of adware. For example, you may download a program named TestSpeeder; however, the name of the installed application will be different, which means that you may have no idea how to delete TestSpeeder from the system altogether. Note that similar tricks may be employed by different advertisement-supported programs, including ProShopper or GoSave.

Regardless of whether TestSpeeder enters the system by itself or bundled with other applications, it will bombard the web pages you open with unstoppable pop-up and banner ads. Some of them may be harmless and could be used to boost traffic to relatively harmless sites. Unfortunately, if you do not remove TestSpeeder and choose to trust the presented installers, surveys, prize giveaways and other offers, you may interact with unreliable parties and cyber criminals without even realizing it. To avoid this malicious activity, you need to ensure that adware is deleted from the Windows operating system.

You cannot trust the data presented by the TestSpeeder Internet speed checker because it may be distorted or completely made-up. In fact, the application is not beneficial at all, and you can always check Internet speeds online. Since TestSpeeder has no beneficial purpose, you should remove it from the system right away. We also recommend that you delete Bettermarkit, Remarkable, and any other disturbing applications which may be associated to this adware.

If additional threats and undesirable programs are running on the PC, you have to delete them. Note that you can use automatic malware removal applications to delete computer infections or employ the manual removal instructions below to uninstall harmless but unwanted programs. Note that if you delete TestSpeeder using the manual removal guides, you will need to inspect the system for remaining leftovers. Make sure you delete every last bit of adware.
