iStartSurf Virus

Many computer users believe that iStartSurf Virus has infiltrated their systems when they notice that istartsurf.com has altered their homepage and default search provider. Actually, this infection is called a browser hijacker; however, it does not really matter how you call it because it is still very important to eliminate it from the system. If you do so, you will be able to set your preferred homepage and search provider, which means that you will be able to get rid of the so-called iStartSurf Virus entirely. Unfortunately, it is not very easy to remove this infection because it is capable of modifying the icons of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. It means that iStartSurf Virus will revive every time you try to remove it from the system.

Istartsurf.com browser hijacker is very similar to other ones that belong to Qone8 family, for instance, webssearches.com, V9.com, omiga-plus.com, and others. All the aforementioned hijackers modify the settings of the browsers without users’ consent; however, some people think that there is nothing wrong to use these search engines because they look completely decent. We agree that istartsurf.com might seem very useful because it allows to access Facebook, YouTube, eBay, and other popular websites in just one click; however, there is still a possibility that it will take you to corrupted websites. It might be just enough to click on any of the ads placed on the startup page once; thus, we highly recommend ignoring all of them completely. Unfortunately, the possibility to click on ads accidentally is always there, which is why it is advisable to get rid of iStartSurf Virus entirely.

If the so-called iStartSurf Virus has already infiltrated your system, there are basically no doubts that a bunch of suspicious applications are residing on your system as well. As the research implemented by the specialists of pcthreat.com has shown, this infection adds SupTab/IETabPage Class extension to Internet Explorer, FastStart extension to Mozilla Firefox, and QuickStart extension to Chrome. It is not exactly known what these extensions do; however, you should get rid of them just because they have been installed without your notice and permission. In order to get rid of them, you have to eliminate iStartSurf Virus from your system first.

As it has been already mentioned, the manual removal of iStartSurf Virus is rather challenging; however, you will still be able to get rid of this undesirable software if you follow the instructions provided below the article. Hi. In the 'common infection symptoms' listed on the right of the page, the loss of uninstall functionality is mentioned. This virus (istartsearch) is affected by this and and has made it impossible to uninstall (it asks for a security code then doesnt do anything anyway). What would you suggest?

I'm having this issue as well. It is not simple to uninstall as it asks you to write the word in the image but then it says you wrote it wrong and it will just close and not delete. How do I get around this?

Same here. Just sits there "preparing the necessary data". Does not uninstall with your instructions
