Vidx

Vidx is a browser extension located on Mac systems which users often install to view online videos. Unfortunately, in many cases users install the program without realizing that it can display various advertisements, also known as Ads by Vidx. What is more, this application can circumvent the removal because it has the ability to randomize its own name. While the original name may be added to the list of threat detections on your malware remover, this tool may fail to find the program if it uses a different name. Needless to say, this is suspicious and quite worrying, and so Vidx removal is what we recommend.

The official website representing Vidx is supervidx.com; unfortunately, it is currently unavailable, which means that you may have trouble reviewing the Privacy Policy or contacting its developers. If the program has been installed already, you are likely to discover it on Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers as Vidx.safariextz or extension.safariextz. Of course, different variations of the name could be presented. Overall, the main reason Mac users choose to delete Vidx is the flooding pop-up and banner advertisements. Note that in order to remove Ads by Vidx, you will need to delete the extension.

There is one more program which is known by the name of Vidx. This one has been created by VidX Project Ltd, and it is presented at vidx-codec.com for Windows users. As researchers have discovered, this is not a malicious program; however, it sets certain programs to install by default. If you do not want to install Search Protect, PasswordBox, or similar applications, and their removal is not something you want to worry about, you have to be cautious when installing them onto the PC. If you have downloaded the application onto the Windows operating system, you can delete it using the removal instructions below.

Even though Windows users may want to remove Vidx by the VidX Project Ltd just because they do not enjoy it, Mac users should delete the program with the same name without any hesitations. The so-called adware (advertisement supported software) is not beneficial and is simply linked to the promotion of questionable third-party services. Follow the manual removal instructions below to delete Vidx from the system. If you have more questions about the application, you can post them in the comment section below, and we will assist you shortly.
