Remove undesirable search tools

Remove from Google Chrome:

  1. Open the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+F.
  2. Select Settings and navigate to On Startup.
  3. Mark Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages.
  4. Overwrite/delete the URL representing Ask search and click OK.
  5. Under Appearance mark Show Home button and click Change.
  6. Overwrite/delete the URL representing Ask search and click OK.
  7. Scroll down to Search and click Manage search engines.
  8. Click X on the URL of the unwanted search tool to remove it and click Done.

Remove from Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open the browser and navigate to the search box on the top-right corner.
  2. Click the search provider icon on the left and select Manage Search Engines.
  3. Select and Remove the undesirable search tool. Click OK.
  4. Now simultaneously tap Alt+T to open the Tools menu at the top.
  5. Select Options to access a new menu and click the General tab.
  6. Overwrite/delete the Home Page URL and click OK.

Remove from Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+T for the Tools menu.
  2. Click Manage Add-ons and in the menu select Search Providers.
  3. Remove the undesirable search provider and then click Close.
  4. Simultaneously tap Alt+T again and select Internet Options.
  5. Click the General tab and find the Home Page box right below.
  6. Overwrite/delete the displayed Home Page URL and click OK.
