Waleisa

Waleisa is an adware application that displays commercial offers. The commercial pop-ups appear on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers. Waleisa installs extensions to these browsers and as a result you are displayed a variety of pop-ups each time you access a popular online shopping website (bestbuy.com, ebay.com, amazon.com etc.). It is necessary to remove Waleisa from your computer if you want to avoid potential security threats. Adware programs can be easily exploited in online marketing scams and malware distribution schemes, so the sooner you terminate Waleisa the better.

The likes of Waleisa are rather tricky applications, because at first glance they look like legitimate programs, especially as they have homepages. Waleisa’s homepage can be accessed at waleisa.com. Unfortunately, no direct link for the application is available there, and according to our security researchers, Waleisa always gets distributed bundled with third party downloaders and installers. It means that you need to be careful whenever you are about to install a new freeware application, because you could be installing a number of potentially unwanted and even harmful applications.

That is not to say that Waleisa is a dangerous computer virus. It is merely an adware application that most of the time users install onto their computers themselves. Waleisa is developed by SuperWeb LLC, and as such it belongs to an ever-growing family of adware applications. It is practically identical to Fortunitas and Surftatic adware programs.

At first it may seem that Waleisa has been developed to provide you with useful shopping information. The application collects data on your cyber likes and preferences and later on it tailors commercial pop-ups especially for you. However, the main reason why Waleisa and similar adware applications are created is money.

Adware applications generate various types of advertisements in attempt to make computer users click them. With every single click you help generate financial revenue to the people behind Waleisa. As long as the application is not exploited by malevolent third party it is not much of a big deal, but you should take any potential security risks into account.

If Waleisa can be exploited to distribute corrupted content, you need to remove Waleisa immediately. Also, since adware apps are distributed bundled with other applications, it is necessary to scan your computer SpyHunter free scanner to determine what other unwanted programs you have installed on the PC.

Remove all the potential threats as soon as possible and then do take your time and invest in a licensed antimalware tool that will help you protect your system from harm.
