Affinity Toolbar

If you have downloaded the Affinity Toolbar onto your browsers from affinity.ourtoolbar.com, you may have been offered to change your home page and search provider settings as well. Have you accepted the so-called Trovi search? Then you must have been greeted by the search.conduit.com start page. Some Windows security researchers categorize this search engine as a browser hijacker because in some cases it could be installed automatically when downloading other well-known toolbars developed by Conduit Ltd. Others may recognize the search engine as Affinity Adware because it displays third party banner advertisements. As you may know, adverts managed by third parties are not always reliable, which is why we recommend getting Affinity Toolbar removed.

Softtunes Search and Toolbar and Freshy Toolbar have been developed on the Conduit platform as well. Even though the toolbars are targeted at different computer users because they offer different easy-access links, it is clear that all of them have been designed to promote search.conduit.com and the Customized Web Search. These search tools are affiliated to third parties, and so you should not be surprised to find advertisement supported search results presented to you. Just like the banner adverts, these sponsored search results are meant to lure you into visiting third party websites. This allows third parties to boost traffic and consequently helps the developers of the search engine to generate profit.

Even though our researchers have not discovered any third party software installed together with the Affinity Toolbar, you still need to be extra cautious during the installation of this program. When researching Conduit toolbars in the past, it has been discovered that such programs as TuneUp Utilities or FreeSmileys could be offered to you. We cannot state that all programs presented during the installation of the toolbar are malicious or unreliable; however, to keep the operating system secure you need to stay vigilant at all times.

If you wish to remove Affinity Adware, you need to delete the toolbar which is related to third party advertisers. In order to delete Affinity Toolbar from the system you need to check which browsers may have been affected by the unreliable Conduit search tools. If you follow the manual removal guides below, the undesirable software will be deleted from your operating system.
