Nationzoom

Nationzoom is a browser hijacker that enters your system bundled with freeware. It modifies your browser settings in order to collect information on your browsing habits and expose you to potentially harmful third party content. If you want to protect your computer from any potential malware infections it is important that you remove Nationzoom immediately from your computer. At the same time you should also remove all the other additional programs that might have arrived at your system along with the browser hijacker.

It is very likely that Nationzoom has been installed on your computer together with a variety of third party applications and other potentially unwanted programs. As there is no official website for Nationzoom itself that would distribute the infection, this browser hijacker usually makes use of other shareware programs to travel around the Internet. Once the browser hijacker gets installed on your PC, it will modify your browser settings, and your home page will be set for nationzoom.com. At the same time, this website will function as your default search engine. You will notice quite a few third party commercial advertisements displayed on the home page, and here it should be point out that Nationzoom cannot be held responsible for the third party content it displays, because it is not covered by its privacy policy. Hence, the advertisements might even contain a corrupted content and Nationzoom would not be able to do anything about it.

Restore browser settings to default

Internet Explorer

1. Press Alt+X and go to Internet options.
2. Select Advanced tab and click Reset.
3. Mark Delete personal settings and click Reset.
4. Press Close.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Press Alt+H and click Troubleshooting information.
2. When a new tab opens, click Reset Firefox.
3. Press Reset Firefox on a pop-up dialog box and click Finish.

Change Google Chrome Settings

1. Press Alt+F and click Settings.
2. Select Open a specific page or set of pages under On Startup.
3. Click Set pages.
4. Delete nationzoom.com, enter a new home page address and click OK.
5. Click Manage search engines button under Search.
6. Set a new default search engine, remove Nationzoom.com and press Done.
