Safesear.ch

Safesear.ch is a search engine which is linked to the google.com/search service. Even though it is stated that the search engine can help you browse the web quickly and efficiently, you should be extremely cautious about the intentions behind it. Why would you choose to run a search engine which cannot provide you with original search results and simply reroutes you to a different source? Luckily, you can trust Google Search; however, we still recommend that you delete Safesear.ch if it has been set as your default search provider or home page. Did you choose these modifications? Were they introduced without your consent? Continue reading to learn all about the removal process.

In case Safesear.ch has been set as the start page and the default search engine without your personal authorization, there is a great possibility that your personal computer has been corrupted by a browser hijacker. Even though the search engine itself is not considered malicious, you certainly should not dismiss any illicit activity. Malicious browser hijackers, Trojans, viruses and other computer infections may already be running on your computer, and they could have easily enabled the unauthorized web browser modifications. Luckily, you should be able to notice this illicit activity right away.

In the Privacy Policy of Safesear.ch it is indicated that the website may expose you to third party products, meaning that you may be presented with various online advertisements. Make sure you do not click on any suspicious or too-good-to-be-true offers because they could potentially be controlled by cyber criminals. Note that some of these ads could link you to sites which are not screened by the search engine. Here is an excerpt from the Privacy Policy:

SafeSear.ch has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by SafeSear.ch of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.

As of January 2015, in Chrome, the x to delete SafeSearch as the default browswer is NOT available. If you click where the x would be, a pop up says "Tis setting enforced by your administrator".

    "Remove from Internet Explorer"
The Method doesn't work. There is nothing in the settings but the opened IE is still on the page.

SpyHunter4 is money begging show for teenagers. It is digging all the cookies in your computer for about an hour and it finally requests you to buy the program in order to delete the cookies. I'd buy it but I am more than positive it will not work: It was nothing *****ociated with IE in the report.

The suggestions above do not work, safesear.ch now takes over the ADMIN for browsers making it impossible to delete without hiring a tech to spend hours on the system chasing down all the crap in your system. As of now..April 20, 2015
