Adware.BitAccelerator

Adware.BitAccelerator is a malicious DLL file that belongs to adware program BitAccelerator.A. It means that if you have this file in your computer, you are also infected with the adware application. The infection may have several symptoms, but the bottom line is that you need to remove Adware.BitAccelerator and the rest of the malicious files the moment you notice it. It is also highly recommended to perform regular system scans with SpyHunter free scanner in order to prevent dangerous computer infections from taking down your system.

When the adware program drops Adware.BitAccelerator onto your PC, it is usually registered as a Browser Helper Object (BHO) on Internet Explorer browser, which means that you most probably will have a potentially dangerous toolbar installed, and it will run automatically each time you open your browser. The program itself can be considered to be a browser hijacker, because it redirects your search results to associated websites and then spams you with commercial advertisements. It is obvious that constant onslaught of pop-ups ads and redirections can expose you to malware infections, so you have to remove Adware.BitAccelerator before any of that happens.

If you are not sure whether you are infected with Adware.BitAccelerator or not, you can perform a full system search for the following two files: BitAccelerator.dll and VirtualNetwork.dll. Both files are directly associated with Adware.BitAccelerator and they have a record each.

BitAccelerator.dll is often categorized as cloaked malware which means that it can enter your system behind your back and then remain there for extended period of time without you even realizing it. This file was first detected in 2007 and ever since then it has been seen in such countries as Spain, the United States, Estonia, Turkey and so on.

On the other hand, VirtualNetwork.dll is associated with worms. It allows one to presuppose that if you are infected with Adware.BitAccelerator, it is very likely that you could be exposed to worm infection as well.  Just like BitAccelerator.dll, VirtualNetwork.dll registers itself as a Browser Helper Object on Internet Explorer browser.

All these infection symptoms show that Adware.BitAccelerator is not only annoying, but also a dangerous application. Scan your system with SpyHunter free scanner to detect any other potentially malicious programs, and then invest in legitimate antimalware tool to remove Adware.BitAccelerator and all the other associated applications. Manual removal is possible, but it is not recommended unless you are a computer expert, so choose what is best for you and your computer. Do not allow a malicious program remain in your system.
