Browser Protect virus

Browser Protect virus is a computer application which is aimed at protecting the user from various browser hijackers and other threats that affect the performance of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. The program is available at browserprotect.org, and it can be downloaded as a bundled download from the websites that promote freeware. The application is published by Web Eight LLC, and once it is installed, a shortcut is created on the desktop.

We recommend that you remove Browser Protect virus as it can hijack your Facebook account by displaying links that lead to the official website of the program. If you pay close attention to the windows provided by Browser Protect virus, you will notice that one of the windows have a check box that reads “Share successful hijack block on Facebook”.  We advice that you do not share the information about the application as it your friends may accidentally access the official website and acquire the same unwanted application.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Click Start and then select Control Panel.
2. Click Uninstall a program.
3. Double-click the unwanted application.

Windows 8

1. Press and hold down the Windows key and press R.
2. Type control panel.
3. Click OK.
4. Select Uninstall a program.
5. Remove BrowserProtect 1.12.

Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select the unwanted application and click the Remove button.
