"You shall not pass" virus

“You shall not pass” virus is a Google redirect virus which can get into the computer via bundled or drive-by downloads while browsing insecure websites. With this threat on the computer you will not be able to access particular websites, and instead of, for example, Facebook, YouTube or eBay you will see the warning “You shall not pass”. This warning is a catchphrase uttered by a movie character Gandalf. The same phrase was used among the French soldiers during World War II, and it seems that it has become very attractive to cyber criminals who attempt to prevent you from accessing preferred websites.

As soon as you find that your Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome is affected by “You shall not pass” virus, you should take immediate actions to remove it from the PC. Unlike in the cases when an unwanted toolbar is installed, “You shall not pass” virus alters the Windows hosts file by adding additional lines which contain IP addresses and the names of the websites. If you decide to remove the so-called redirect virus manually, you will need to delete those unnecessary entries from the file.

“You shall not pass” virus can be detected as Win32/Fynloski.AA which is also known to be able to affect the system’s performance by downloading various unnecessary files. Moreover, it may be used for recording key strokes and mouse clicks, displaying misleading messages and performing many other illegal actions. The sooner you remove Win32/Fynloski.AA or “You shall not pass” virus, the sooner you can access those blocked websites.
