The main objective of this devious computer threat is to force you into using the suspicious search engine, visiting various questionable sites and clicking on potentially dangerous online ads. How to modify browser settings?

Remove from Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch a browser, simultaneously tap Alt+T and select Manage Add-ons.
  2. From the menu on the left click Search Providers.
  3. Select the unwanted search provider and click Remove. Hit Close.
  4. Tap Alt+T once more and this time click Internet Options.
  5. Click on the General tab and navigate to Home Page.
  6. Overwrite/remove the undesirable URL and click OK.

Remove from Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox, simultaneously tap Alt+T and click Options.
  2. Click on the General tab, change/remove the Home Page and click OK.
  3. Click the drop-down menu icon on the left of the search box (top right corner of the screen).
  4. Select Manage search engines.
  5. Now click the unwanted provider, select Remove and hit OK.

Remove from Google Chrome:

  1. Simultaneously tap Alt+F and select Settings from the appeared menu.
  2. Move to On Startup, mark Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages.
  3. Change or remove the provider URL and click OK.
  4. Navigate to Appearance, mark Show Home button and click Change.
  5. Repeat step 3 to change the home page.
  6. Finally go to Search and click Manage search engines.
  7. Pick a new default search engine and then click X over to remove it. Click OK.
