Freecorder Toolbar

Freecorder Toolbar is a browser add-on which can be bundled alongside free applications or Freecorder 8 which enables to download videos from such websites as YouTube, Facebook, Dailymotion, Vimeo and others. If you have installed the toolbar accidentally and want to remove it from the PC, you must have noticed that it changes the home page and the search provider of the browser.

Freecorder Toolbar is compatible with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. While running the installer of the application, you have probably skipped some check boxes enabling you avoid the changes. Here is one of the statements that you have skipped:

Set my default search and home page to the Toolbar’s customized web search and web search page. Install and enable Search Protect to notify me of the changes.

If you do not remove the tick sign from the box, your home page is changed to search.conduit.com. However, below the toolbar you will find a bar claiming that the results are returned from Bing. While using the search engine, you will find advertisements which are supposed to match your interests. We advise you against using search.conduit.com in order to prevent the damage that can be done if you access a corrupted website which is aimed at spreading malware.

As for the toolbar, you may find it attractive because of various options which are presented. Without opening a new tab or browser window, you can check the news feed on your Facebook account, play the radio, choose the website from which you will download files and enable Price Gong coupons or Value Apps depending on the browser you use.

If you do not want to receive various offers in the form of coupons, do not activate the applications that are being promoted via Freecorder Toolbar.  All in all, if you have no intention of using this application, remove it from the PC.

The Freecorder 8 software was published by Applian Technologies Inc and when you open Control Panel, you will find that in addition to the entry Freecorder 8 Applications there is the Freecorder 8 Toolbar published by Freecorder 8. You will have to uninstall them and change the settings of the browsers. However, if you find that manual removal is not for you, you can install SpyHunter which will easily remove the unwanted application for you automatically.
