Trojan:VBS/Agent.K

Trojan:VBS/Agent.K is a clandestine computer infection which uses an abundance of different files to perform highly clandestine and illegal processes within your operating Windows system. As research shows, the malicious threat can be employed to drop malware and utilize your personal accounts to spread malignant files to other systems. Unfortunately, not many computer users discover and delete Trojan:VBS/Agent.K in time, simply because the threat does not have an interface and can run highly surreptitiously. This is extremely dangerous because the devious program can also be used to steal confidential data which could be sold to malignant third parties and used for illegal purposes. So how did this clandestine threat enter your computer and how should you remove it?

Even though schemers are capable of seemingly-invisible malware proliferation, some of the methods are widely known. For example, the malicious Trojan files could be dropped onto the computer with the help of spam email attachments. Let’s say you receive an email with an incredibly attractive subject line. You open this email and then follow the instructions to download an attachment or click on a link. Once you perform these actions, schemers infect your personal computer with Trojan:VBS/Agent.K components without you even realizing it. Unfortunately, the files of the malicious program can be spread across different locations, including %APPDATA% (wezyxpup.exe), %PROGRAMFILES% (wTask.exe) or even %SystemDrive% (RegistryServiceBackup.vbs).

Before you recognize that they exist and need to be removed, these files can infect your PC with the clandestine explorer.exe (%APPDATA%) and svchost.exe (virtual drive K:\). Even though the names of these components are identical to the authentic Windows components, they are capable of extremely malicious processes. These files can remove access to the Task Manager and Registry Editor to aggravate manual removal processes. They can also disable safe mode, hijack system processes, modify the Windows Security Center, add new background services and corrupt the USB drives to spread the infection further. Moreover, these Trojan:VBS/Agent.K executables could connect to remote servers, modify DNS settings, drop BHO to spy on your online activities, release fictitious system pop-ups and corrupt the autoexec.bat file to discover your user names and passwords. Needless to say, the latter could be used to corrupt your virtual accounts and use your name to spread the infection.

Having Trojan:VBS/Agent.K deleted is quite a task; however, you cannot stall the removal process for any longer. The more time passes by the more vulnerable your system becomes to other infections. Therefore, it is important that you install authentic, reliable spyware removal software without further delay. Do you think you can delete Trojan:VBS/Agent.K manually? If you have never performed this task, we do not recommend that you start now; otherwise, you could harm the functionality of the entire system further.
