Discount Buddy

Discount Buddy is yet another program developed by 215 Apps and Innovative Apps. Some of the well-know browser add-ons created by the same people include Supreme Savings, CouponDropDown and Deals Plugin. The application is not regarded as malicious; however, it could be implemented for malicious activities. If you are still pondering whether you should install the extension, we recommend installing a more secure and reliable alternative. However, if you have already applied this tool onto your Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers, you should continue reading. The report answers questions regarding manual Discount Buddy removal and explains why you should delete the seemingly beneficial program from the PC.

The official page of the add-on is discount-buddy.com and here you can view the full Privacy Policy. Please see a few disconcerting statements which disclose that your virtual security may be in the hands of third party members.

We may share (1) automatic information we collect from the Plugin Service or the Site, including IP address and your web usage data as described above, and (2) aggregated information (i.e., information about you and other users collectively, but not specifically identifiable to you) with third parties and affiliated companies to develop and deliver targeted advertising through the Plugin Service, on our websites and on websites of third parties.

Discount Buddy is a browser ad-on which is supposed to introduce you to various online discounts and coupons. Some of the ads and offers could be produced by third-party sources, which could be risky to your virtual security. Cyber crooks are on a constant lookout for new security vulnerabilities and tricks which could help them generate illicit profits. Unfortunately, they could breach the security protocols of 215 Apps to expose you to misleading adware. Overall, if you notice any strange offers or they lead you to suspicious sites – terminate browsing sessions and delete Discount Buddy.

    David,

If SpyHunter finds, it can definitely remove it. In a rare case, if malware is not removed, you can use the function called Spyware HelpDesk, where customer support will create a special fix just for your computer.
