- Cant change my homepage

- Strange toolbar installed without Your permission
Searchqu is not a malicious infection, but it is a potentially unwanted program that can interfere with Internet browsing. This application is usually installed on your computer together with freeware and shareware. Searchqu is known to be distributed with free software from Bandoo Media and iLivid. If you go through the download process without looking at what exactly you are installing, you might end up with Searchqu toolbar and search engine as your default. However, we cannot say that Searchqu is installed without your permission. Even if you do not realize that this program is installed, you go through the process yourself.
After the installation, Searchqu changes your default homepage to searchqu.com. At the time of writing, if you try accessing searchqu.com directly, you will be redirected to another search engine called searchnu.com. Searchqu also installs a search toolbar on your browser. All main browsers are affected by this program, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Also, another search engine is added to your browser called Web Search. Users, who have Searchqu installed, have noticed that whenever they typed anything into the search box and pressed Enter, they were redirected to search-results.com or searchqu.com.
Since it is easy to choose NOT to install Searchqu, you have to be careful during freeware installation. There is no evidence that Searchqu would be a part of Trojan distribution process, and it doesn't download malware, but a lot of users have complained being unable to uninstall it. Searchqu should be present in your Uninstall utility, but that is not the case, and you want to remove Searchqu from your computer, we strongly advise you to download SpyHunter and delete this program automatically. If the program has changed your browser settings, SpyHunter will restore them. You will also be able to check whether there are any other suspicious programs installed on your computer.
