Gozi Trojan

The infamous Gozi Trojan, or Gozi Prinimalka, is a Russian hackers’ creation that was first detected in December of 2006. Since then the infection has stolen login data, disrupted system performance and caused irreparable damage within thousands of Windows systems all over the world. What is more, it is now clear that the infectious application is also a threat to international companies, governmental departments and various other national importance agencies that protect our personal data. Without a doubt, throughout the years the infection has evolved and changed, and this has been done not to Windows users’ advantage. As a matter of fact, the application is stronger than ever, which is why there is no time to waste and you need to remove Gozi Trojan right now!

It has been researched that the surreptitious Trojan can travel through security exploits of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers. This means that schemers could infect your operating Windows system using tens of different methods, including spam email attachments, bundled downloads, social engineering scams, fake online advertisement, etc. Hence, it would be extremely dangerous to download from illegal sites, use P2P file sharing systems or click on suspicious links sent by unfamiliar addressees or even familiar contacts.

After Gozi Trojan is infiltrated into a target Windows system via aforementioned system security vulnerabilities, this malignant infection can then implement such malignant files as xx_ymvb.exe (C:\Documents and Settings) to perform highly detrimental operations. One of the most horrendous attributes of these components is that they can encrypt Trojan’s processes and even delete parts of its unique code which is meant to hide Gozi Trojan from removal. This way, even if your computer is protected by legitimate malware detection and removal tools, you would not be warned of the dangerous program and its intentions.

The main Gozi Trojan objection is to steal your personal data and it can utilize Secure Sockets Layer data to achieve this. The malignant infection is capable of mimicking your online login pages interfaces and using this trick to collect online banking information. What is more, the infection also has key-logging features which help record keystrokes, mouse clicks and screen content in order to spy on you and steal confidential data. Therefore, if you do not want schemers to obtain your social security numbers, banking information and access your email accounts you need to delete Gozi Trojan and do it without waiting much longer.

Even though Gozi Trojan is a surreptitiously running infection you are meant to face some symptoms sooner or later. Slower PC performance, Internet connectivity issues and other disturbing symptoms can identify the infection running, which is why you should scan your system with legitimate security tools and implement their automatic removal capabilities to delete Gozi Trojan.
