Users familiar with the IronDefender scam will recognize IronDefense as an exact copy of the infamous rogue, which both originate from the incessant Winisoft family. IronDefense is a rogue antispyware application which will start its attack on the system the moment it is unleashed. As a first point of attack IronDefense will modify system parameters and create a number of files on its own accord shortly after entering the victim’s PC.
In trying to convince its intended victim of its authenticity, IronDefense will quite convincingly imitate a real security tool by displaying fake system scans and producing fake scan results and annoying popups. Users will be alerted to numerous infections on their PC by way of popup ads and alerts informing them of these nonexistent threats.
IronDefense was designed solely to fleece consumers out of their money. It will go on to inform the user that the only way to remove these supposed threats and infections will be by purchasing IronDefense’s full version software. This should never be done as IronDefense is unable to remove any threats from a PC. And besides, the threats it claims to be able to remove do not even exist.
In a clever move, IronDefense will try and panic the user into believing everything it tells him, including that it is the only software able to remove these reported threats.
PC owners who value their system stability and security should remove IronDefense the moment it is discovered, and never believe anything these malicious developers have to say.
