AV Defender 2011

When thinking about Internet Security, most users will think about their trusted antivirus and antispyware software keeping their systems safe and protected. That is why when users are presented with annoying rogue antispyware applications such as AV Defender 2011, most start panicking when presented with false security scans. The AV Defender 2011 rogue was developed, like most other rogue antispyware applications, to scam their victims out of their hard earned money. What makes AV Defender 2011 worse than the typical rogue is that it is much more aggressive.

This destructive application will enter users’ systems without their knowledge or consent, and will leave a trail of devastation wherever it goes. It starts off by switching the explorer.exe file to its own, which in essence means that when the PC is booted up AV Defender 2011 is loaded instead of the desktop. It will then spam the PC owner with an uncontrollable amount of fake security warnings informing him or her of bogus system infections. This is done in the hope of scaring the consumer into buying AV Defender 2011’s fake software, which never really reported on any true infections.
