Client Maximus

Client Maximus is a devious infection that appears to have been created to target users in Brazil. This infection is classified as a Trojan or a banking Trojan because it is primarily used to steal banking information. Just like all Trojans, this threat slithers into the operating system without the victim’s knowledge, and its activity is silent, which allows it to cause problems without interruption. Unfortunately, once this malware is installed, it cannot be uninstalled, which, of course, creates problems when deleting it. Due to this, even if the victim realizes that something is wrong, they might be unable to get rid of the threat right away. Our research team has thoroughly inspected this malware, and it is out recommendation that you remove Client Maximus as soon as possible. Continue reading the report and then follow the instructions below.

According to our research, Client Maximus is not a new infection, and it might have been around since early 2016. Since then, there have been several different versions of this malware, which only makes it more difficult to uncover and delete it successfully. Although the activity of this malware is generally the same, the way it is represented changes constantly. All in all, our research team has managed to find two main ways in which this malware spreads. In one scenario, this threat spreads via a fictitious NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) installer. Once the installer is executed, malware files are downloaded onto the PC without the user’s notice. In another scenario, Client Maximus is loaded via a malicious link or a fake advertisement that redirects to a corrupted website with JS script that automatically downloads the infection. In both cases, the threat is silent.

Once the devious Client Maximus is launched, it is immediately activated to steal banking information. This malware is capable of monitoring your activity and then interrupting online banking sessions. If the Trojan manages to overtake the banking session, it allows cyber criminals to steal money by making unauthorized transactions. According to our analysis, this malware is usually used to transfer money or drain the accounts using online shopping. Because Client Maximus is silent, users usually discover it only after they find unauthorized transactions and when they scan their operating systems. It is important that you employ a legitimate malware scanner to help you discover the infection. There are many imposters and useless malware scanners that cannot provide you with legitimate results on which malware requires removal, which is why you have to be selective.

Needless to say, it is very important to delete Client Maximus, but it is also important to contact your bank to inform them about fraud. They will give you instructions on what you need to do next about protecting your accounts and, possibly, getting your money back. Another thing that is very important is the protection of your operating system. If it were protected, you would not be facing this malicious Trojan. We are sure that you are ready to take your operating system’s security seriously, and that is why we want to bring up anti-malware software. Have you considered investing in it? If you have not, we advise that you do because this software is best when it comes to keeping your operating system free from malicious threats.

The guide you see below explains how to manually remove Client Maximus. This infection is very dangerous, and you need to get rid of it as soon as possible. If you do not think that you can erase it manually, it is advised that you utilize anti-malware software. It can automatically eliminate this Trojan without you having to do anything, and, of course, that is very helpful. Furthermore, it can ensure that your operating system and your virtual security is not threatened by other infections in the future. Needless to say, this is the option our research team recommends. If you decide that you want to erase the Trojan yourself, you HAVE to use a legitimate malware scanner after you complete the steps below to ensure that your operating system is clean. If you leave one single malicious component behind, you could be facing security problems in the near future.
