AVCare, also known as AV Care, is a fake anti-spyware application which claims to be the best in the world. AVCare pretends to remove viruses from a PC system, but has strong traits reminiscent of a virus:

It can be installed without any permission from the system user, making use of various tactics. Spamming and Trojans are common techniques that hackers tend to use to install the trialware of AVCare. However, there are cases of installation which have been initiated by the system user; in these cases one would have had to download the trialware from one of the affiliated web-sites.

AVCare runs autonomously i.e. it does not wait for your command to start it’s misleading scan; what’s more is, there are files responsible for issuing more complex orders than “run file as Windows start”. This means that your data security cannot be ensured while the rogue feels free to roam around on the infected PC, as it is able to delete random files (just another tactic used to try establish and maintain fears and finally force you, the user, to pay for registration of the trialware.)
The sooner you remove AVCare, the better.
