WiniFighter (Wini Fighter) is a rogue anti-spyware application. WiniFighter infects the computer system without user’s consent or knowledge via a Trojan. These dangerous applications enter the system via security exploits, spam e-mails and fake online anti-virus scanners. Once installed and active, WiniFighter performs fake system scans and generates fake alert messages or fake scan reports, informing the user that their computer system is infected. All these messages are fabricated, WiniFighter is unable to detect and remove infections. This tactic is used to scare the user into purchasing the full licensed version of WiniFighter. WiniFighter is to be removed immediately from any computer system once it has been detected.
