TotalVirusProtection, also known as Total Virus Protection, TotalVirus Protection, Total VirusProtection, is yet another rogue anti-spyware application. The TotalVirusProtection application is not only dangerous to any system is has infiltrated, but it is extremely annoying as well. Usually TotalVirusProtection will infect a system via the installation of fake video or audio codec’s (for example: Video ActiveX Codec or Flash Activex Object Error), all of which usually install the virus: Trojan Zlob. Once installed, TotalVirusProtection will start displaying fake security warnings and scan reports, which attempts to persuade the user to download and purchase the "full" version of the TotalVirusProtection program. TotalVirusProtection will continually try to trick and coerce the user in many ways. TotalVirusProtection should NOT be trusted, as it might actually expose the system user to more security threats!
