XPProtectionCenter (XP Protection Center) is yet another scamware, fake anti-virus, with aggressive behavior. We recommend that you remove XPProtectionCenter as soon as possible because it may cause system slowdowns and data loss. XPProtectionCenter is distributed through fake video codecs or other Trojans. XPProtectionCenter usually generates fake virus detection messages and annoying pop-ups, trying to trick you into buying the “Full Version” of the malware. The scanner is not good either, due to the fact that it is only able of creating fake results. XPProtectionCenter may open browser security holes to install additional malware.
