PCCleaner 2008 (or PC-Cleaner 2008, PCCleaner2008) is a rogue anti-spyware application (a new variant of Pc-Cleaner). Rogue Anti-Spyware applications are often downloaded and installed by a Trojan (maybe Trojan Zlob), through browser security holes, or via other unconventional and unethical mechanisms, such as Video ActiveX Codec, and PCCleaner 2008 makes no exception. Just after installation PCCleaner 2008 will start showing pop-up advertisements, which may slow down your computer performance or internet connection. PCCleaner 2008 will also display notifications of imaginary security and privacy risks in its attempts to get the user to purchase the full version. PCCleaner 2008 program is affiliated with several nefarious Trojans. It is believed that PCCleaner 2008 is a derivative of VirusHeat or MalWarrior 2008.
