Mirar Toolbar

Mirar Toolbar is an adware application that installs a browser helper object, also known as BHO, in the form of a toolbar. A Toolbar is a type of browser plug-in that adds a third-party utility bar to the web browser, usually just below or next to the browser's address bar. A toolbar, typically has a search function and provides search results for paid advertisers. Often times the toolbar will have buttons that are links to advertisers' web pages. An advertising toolbar may track browsing and search queries in order to display contextually relevant search results and ads. Mirar Toolbar monitors a user's web browsing activity and search queries and will then send the accumulated data to its home server, so that targeted advertising can be returned to the user's PC. Mirar Toolbar can be installed in large bundles of adware without the user’s knowledge or consent. Being a form of Adware, Mirar Toolbar is also known regarded as advertising software, as it tends to display third-party advertising on a computer system. The ads can take several forms, including pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, or links embedded within web pages or parts of the Windows interface. Some adware advertising might consist of text ads shown within the application itself or within side bars, search bars, and search results. Mirar Toolbar is generally considered a moderate risk application, as it comes bundled with functionally unrelated software or is installed without adequate notice and consent, and may display unwanted advertising on the user's desktop. Such risks may track the users' online browsing habits and transmit non-personally identifying data back to a server in order to target advertising. Mirar Toolbar should be removed from a system as soon as it has been detected!
